Student appears in court for alleged defilement of patient

Update: 6:50PM A tertiary student has been bailed by the Labasa Magistrates Court for the alleged defilement of an intellectually impaired patient at the Labasa Hospital last week.

The accused appeared before Magistrate Siainiu Bull this afternoon and was bailed.

Ms Bull ordered that the accused report to the Nabouwalu police station every Tuesday, not to leave Vanua Levu, not to contact the victim or interfere with  witnesses.
