New centre for worship

Monday, June 23, 2014

THE new Pacific Tertiary Evangelistic Centre is committed in getting Pacific tertiary students to serve God.

The centre, which was officially opened yesterday at Grantham Rd by the church members, marks a significant milestone.

With its members being tertiary students from around the Pacific region, the centre focuses on bringing divine and spiritual guidance to students who need a place to worship.

Seventh-day Adventist Trans-Pacific Union youth director pastor Maveni Kaufononga said the association moved from one venue to another for the past 20 years.

He said it cost the church a lot to hire venues and for the past six years they worshiped at the Fiji Teachers Association hall.
