SURESH Chauhan won the Six Reds snooker league tournament at the Lautoka Club on Friday.

Chauhan defeated Nitesh Chand 2-0 in the final.

In the semi-final Chauhan defeated Nilesh Chand 2-1 while Nitesh beat Philip Gock by the same score line.

Chauhan who is Lautoka Club's sports coordinator said they received overwhelming response.

He said the league tournament would be played every Friday.

"The entry fee is $5 per player," Chauhan said.

"The winner receives 40 per cent of the levy collected. The runner-up gets 20 per cent while the rest goes to the club.

"Hopefully the other clubs in the West will adopt this format to generate more interest in the sport."
