U20 to play in trophy competition

Arin Kumar
Saturday, June 21, 2014

THE Vodafone Fiji U20 side has been relegated to the Junior World Rugby Trophy competition.

This was after they lost the 11th place play-off match 17-22 to Italy yesterday in New Zealand in the Junior World Championship.

Fiji had been finishing on 11th place in the competition for the past two years and could not survive the third time around.

Fiji lost all their games at the JWC this year and topped the yellow card category with eight to their name.

Next year, Fiji would play in the second tier competition while Japan would take their place in tier one.
