IT was an evening of talent last night as finalists for the Kaila! Star Search took to the stage for the full and final dress rehearsal before the heat one event tomorrow evening.

The 11 youngsters were briefed beforehand by a panel of judges at the Civic Auditorium in Suva, who gave some tips on what they would be looking for.

Some of the tips included eye contact, the improvement of confidence levels and stage presence on the evening.

Heat one team leader Vilisi Nuqa said the show provided an important platform for young talent and competition.

"This provides a really good chance for these youths to express their talents on a national stage," Ms Nuqa said last night.

The heats kick off at 6pm tomorrow evening at the Civic Auditorium.
