THE Fijian Elections Office has released candidates nomination forms for the 2014 general election.

According to the Elections Office, there will be two types of nomination forms — one is for a candidate to nominate himself or herself as an independent while the second form is for political parties to nominate their candidates.

The Electoral Commission, in a meeting onWednesday, approved the forms under Section 25 of the Electoral Decree, the Elections Office said in a statement.

It revealed nominations would only be accepted by the Supervisor of Elections after the writ of the election had been formally issued by the president.
