Update: 5:14PM THE Health Ministry today launched the Child Protection Guidelines.

The guideline, a part of the 2010 Child Welfare Decree, will allow health care workers to understand the pathway to follow when they treat children who are a victim of any form of abuse.

Ministry's Child Protection Focal Point adviser Dr Reapi Mataika in an interview said it's important to note that it's everyone's right to report any case of a child being abused.

The launch also marked the beginning of a three-day training on the guideline awareness which is held at the Tanoa Plaza in Suva.
