10-year kava ban lifted

Update: 1:43PM KAVA exporters can look forward to a bright future following an announcement by the Ministry of Industry and Trade that a 10-year ban on exports to Germany has been lifted.

Permanent secretary Shaheen Ali said it could take a while for the decision to be implemented.

Fiji exports kava to Fiji citizens in Australia, US, New Zealand, UK and could be viable for the European Union market.
