Wednesday, June 18, 2014

THE office bearers of FijiFirst party will be declaring their assets and liabilities soon.

Confirming this yesterday, Supervisor of Election Mohammed Saneem said the party has 30 days time to declare their assets and liabilities.

"Any political party that is registered is required to submit declarations under Section 16 and 24 (of the Political Parties Decree) within 30 days of registration," Mr Saneem said.

He said after the office bearers declared their assets and liabilities, the details would be made public like that of other registered political parties.

The FijiFirst was registered as a political party on May 30 this year.

Meanwhile, the Fijian Elections Office has sent a team to the United Kingdom to start registering Fijian citizens there. "A team is going to Australia and also another team will be going to Canada and do a morph up in the US," said Mr Saneem.

He said the teams would register as many Fijians as possible.
