Project to end in 2016

THE Nabouwalu road project is expected to finish in 2016 while the Savusavu Buca Bay highway will be completed within the next six months, says the Fiji Roads Authority.

FRA chief executive Neil Cook said the bridge construction was already progressing along the Nabouwalu-Dreketi highway.

Mr Cook said the Nabouwalu project was expected to be completed after a year because they still had to deal with the 14 bridges along the highway.

Mr Cook said he was concerned with vehicles that were still speeding along the highway despite their earlier pleas to slow down while works were continuing.
