Flying Fijians move up

Rashneel Kumar
Wednesday, June 18, 2014

THE Vodafone Flying Fijians have received a timely boost ahead of the Pacific Nations Cup clash against Samoa on Saturday at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

In the latest International Rugby Board rankings, Fiji has moved up one place to 10 following good wins over Italy 25-14 and Tonga 45-17 this month.

Samoa, which drew against Tonga 18-all and defeated Italy 15-0 in the June Test series, also climbed up a spot to nine in the rankings.

Fiji coach John McKee said while rankings were important, winning games was their main priority.
