SODELPA names 44 provisional candidates

Update: 3:30PM SODELPA this afternoon announced all 44 of their provisional candidates for the September election.

Speaking at the announcement, party leader Roko Tui Dreketi Ro Teimumu Kepa said the candidates would work to protect the interest of all Fijians, as the party fights to protect Fiji's needs.

Some of the candidates revealed include former Local Government Minister Colonel Samuela Saumatua, Fijian rugby player Viliame Satala and former Leader of Opposition Mick Beddoes.

Below is the full list of candidates:

Provincial candidates

Ro Teimumu Kepa, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, Ratu Viliame Tagivetaua, Josefa Dulakiverata, Kiniviliame Kiliraki, Ratu Suliano Matanitobua, Mikaele Leawere, Luke Ratuvuki, Nanise Nagusuca, Ratu Viliame Niumataiwalu, Anare Jale, Anare Vadei, Ratu Sela Nanovo, Ratu Isoa Tikoca, Viliame Gavoka, Sitiveni Loco, Niko Nawaikula, Jeremaia Namuaira, Ratu Osea Bolawaqatabu, Simione Drole and Iosefo Nainima

Urban candidates

Ratu Jone Kubuabola, Dr Tupeni Baba, Pio Tabaiwalu, Dr Mere Samisoni, Losena Salabula, Tomasi Vakatora, Salote Radrodro, Penina Ravulo, Mitieli Bulanauca, Laisani Qaqanilawa, Parayame Cakacaka, Semesa Karavaki, Samu Saumatua, Simione Rasova, Ratu Jone Bouwalu, Marika Lewaqai, Ratu Nemia Vainitoba and Viliame Satala

National candidates
