Road upgrade

Salaseini Moceiwai
Friday, June 13, 2014

THE hazard of walking on dusty uneven roads will soon be history for the people of Lekutu in Bua now that upgrading roadworks have started in the area yesterday.

District representative Tevita Raiova said they had been pleading for improved roads over the past years and now their request was finally being answered.

"When the Prime Minister Rear Admiral (Ret) Voreqe Bainimarama came to open the Women's Resource Centre in Bua early this year, I humbly requested him to look into our plight," he said.

"The Prime Minister assured us that authorities responsible would look into the matter and now we are really happy that Fulton Hogan Hiways have started roadworks here."
