Prakash wins Nadi golf title

NATIONAL elite squad member Roneel Prakash took out the overall gross title at the Shipping Services monthly medal event at the Nadi Airport Golf Club yesterday.

Prakash scored 72.

Association president Munesh Prasad won the overall nett with a score of 67.

Zoheer Ahmed won the A Grade nett. He scored 71.

Mark Hinton was second with 72 nett while Nilesh Chand was third with 73.

Swami Vivekananda College year 11 student Shavil Prasad won the B Grade nett. He scored 68. Mohammed Hafif Ali was second edging Yagam Baram Pillay on a countback after both golfers scored 72 nett.

Sunil Datt won the C Grade nett with a score of 75. Pranith Chand was second with 78. Munesh hit the longest drive while Ram Khelawan won the nearest to the pin prize.

The monthly medal winners were Munesh (A Grade), Shavil (B Grade), Datt (C Grade).
