A 7s tournament will be held on Naviti Island in the Yasawa Group next month to help raise funds for the Tamuqali clan.

The tournament will be held at the Salusalu Park at Somosomo village from July 3-4.

The village is where former dual international Kaiava Salusalu hails from.

Kaiava represented the country in both rugby union and rugby league.

Tournament organiser Wasake Totivi said 24 teams would be accommodated.

Totivi said invitations have been extended to clubs on Viti Levu.

"This is the first time we are hosting a fundraising 7s tournament," he said.

"The winner will receive $1000 and the Sakuvorowaqa Shield."
