Respect your elders

"PARENTS, please, teach your children to respect the elderly in their communities."

This was the main message from 76- year- old Vuci South resident Mohammed Aslam during World Elderly Abuse Awareness Day at Nausori High School yesterday.

The school treated 10 elderly people to a hearty lunch to commemorate the event.

"Children nowadays have changed a lot. They were not like us before when we respected our elders," Mr Aslam said, adding that parents must teach their children to have respect.
