Taiwanese delegation on tour of St Giles

Update: 2.00PM A group of senior officials from the Taiwanese Government, who specialise in providing care for mental health patients, over an hour ago visited the St Giles Hospital.

During the hospital visit, the six-member team from Taiwan would also be  conducting a feasibility study to evaluate areas that needed immediate assistance.

An Information Ministry statement released yesterday afternoon said the team visited the Health Ministry this week to look at providing assistance at health facilities that provide mental health services.

This includes improving rehabilitation services such as the development of a farm where patients can spend time in the farm and earn income. it read.
