Update: 2:11PM POLICE are continuing their search for three fishermen from Batinikama in Labasa who were reported missing by their families early this week.

Spokesman Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri this morning said the men had been in contact with their family members.

"It is understood that the men left their homes about 7.30pm on Monday," Insp Sokomuri said.

"One of the men called his wife and stated their boat engine developed problems and is now anchoring between Celrock and Yalewakalou out in the Bua waters."
