Fiji to improve mental health services

By SITERI SAUVAKACOLO
Tuesday, June 03, 2014

Update: 6:05PM THE Health Ministry hopes to improve services in its mental health sector soon.

This follows a joint collaboration with the Taiwan government, which currently has six of its health officials on a three- day visit in the country.

A number of presentations on mental health services in the country were made to the visiting delegation at the ministry headquarters in Suva earlier today.

National advisor non-communicable disease Dr Isimeli Tukana said this joint effort was a timely one as Taiwan is one of the leaders in the world in psychiatric development.
