SOFITEL Fiji Resort and Spa's V Restaurant has scooped travel monitor Trip Advisor's 2014 Certificate of Excellence Award.

Resort general manager Alan Burrows said it was a remarkable achievement by French chef Jean-Marc Ruzzene and his team.

"We are thrilled with the accolade and the fact that Trip Advisor travellers have acknowledged our restaurant V, which we regard as one of not just Denarau's but the Fiji Islands very best in terms of ambiance and cuisine," he said.

V Restaurant is a unique combination — authentic Fijian décor combined with unparalleled high quality dining courtesy of Mr Ruzzene.

Trip Advisor's awards system is based on recommendations and comments made by guests who have dined at eateries around the planet.

The site enjoys 50 million monthly visitors and 60 million reviews and opinions annually.
