Confidence in garments as buyers throng show

Torika Tokalau
Saturday, May 31, 2014

FIJI Fashion Week managing director Ellen Whippy-Knight is confident that garments featured in the three-night fashion show will impress buyers.

Ms Whippy-Knight said designers — local and international — had done really well with the collections they produced for FJFW.

"I really cannot wait to see the actual end of FJFW only because I know that the clothes are going to sell like hot cakes," she said.

"I really can't believe that our local designers are producing these types of collections and garments and it's a great indication of their development and exposure in Fiji Fashion Week and it is truly just an amazing show.

"The clothes are exemplary and all the designers have really superseded our expectations and raised the level of Fiji Fashion Week to a whole different level this year.

The Fiji Times is proud to support this event.
