FASHION is all about unleashing the hidden secrets of designs, especially for emerging designers that hope to make a name for themselves in the local fashion industry.

United Nations resident co-ordinator Osnat Lubrani, who was the chief guest at the Emerging Designers Show last night said fashion was really special especially when creativity was unleashed in high standards.

"I have to admit that it's the first time that I have ever been to a fashion show and it is just so exciting," Ms Lubrani said.

"It's also great to see that emerging designers particularly youths being part of the emerging designers show.

"The emerging designers need to be able to unleash their creativity and to really have it acknowledged by people who are in the fashion industry.

"I am happy that people that are creative are being able to express themselves through clothing which is indeed very exciting."

She said she thought the initiative was important because it attracted attention to Fiji.

"The initiative can surely bring income to the economy too.

"I expect to enjoy being part of people's creative spirit during this show and it's really important to partake in events like this as to show support to the designers."
