Thursday, May 29, 2014

FIREFIGHTERS rushed to the devastating scene of children trapped in a bus yesterday morning at Wakanisila in Kalabu after the bus carrying 35 students veered off the Kubukawa Rd and down a hill.

A firefighting team from the National Fire Authority arrived at the scene just before 8am following a 7.54am distress call.

The firefighters managed to get all the students and an elderly person out of the bus and took them to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital via ambulances from the NFA, the Health Ministry and St John Ambulance.

Some of the students are being treated for injuries in hospital while the police and the LTA try to determine what caused yesterday's horror road mishap.
