BILLY SLATER - fullback
Origin games: 22
Holds the No.1 jersey despite Greg Inglis' strong club form at fullback. Showing signs of getting back to his scintillating best after slow season start following a knee injury sustained at last year's World Cup.
DARIUS BOYD - wing
Origin games: 17
Boyd hasn't missed an Origin since debuting in game two of the 2008 campaign and needs to show he can again rise to the big moment despite poor club form.
GREG INGLIS - centre
Origin games: 21
NSW's enemy No.1 given his links to that state and ability to produce for the Maroons when it matters. Has been on fire at fullback for South Sydney but is just as dangerous in the line with his huge fend, power and pace.
JUSTIN HODGES - centre

Finding form after a season start delayed by a ruptured Achilles. A strong defender and clever attacker who often chimes in at dummy half to take the pressure off Queensland's forwards.
BRENT TATE - wing
Origin games: 21
Queensland's Mr Indestructible is back for another Origin campaign. Not the fastest or tallest winger but he's tough and super-competitive.
JOHNATHAN THURSTON -
Origin games: 27
Queensland's superstar half will be lining up for a 28th consecutive Origin fixture, having never missed a game since debuting in game one, 2005.
COOPER CRONK - halfback
Origin games: 12
Has seen off speculation Daly Cherry-Evans could nab his No.7 jersey and probably doesn't get the plaudits he deserves with so much talent around him.
MATT SCOTT - prop
Origin games: 14
Tough as teak prop who comes into the game on the back of some near-unstoppable form for North Queensland.
CAMERON SMITH - hooker (capt)
Origin games: 30
The Kangaroos skipper is the heartbeat of the Maroons set-up. Taking over from Darren Lockyer, Smith is preparing for his third series as captain.
NATE MYLES - prop

CHRIS McQUEEN - second row
Origin games: 3
South Sydney back-rower has a lot to prove after some underwhelming club form. Coach Mal Meninga has stuck with him but he could be under pressure if he fails to shine.
MATT GILLETT - second row
Origin games: 6
Comes into the starting line-up due to Brisbane teammate Sam Thaiday's calf injury.
COREY PARKER - lock
