A GROUP of young professionals embarked on their first community work, paving the way for more outreach programs for their new club.

Established in March this year, the 17-member Rotaract Club of Nadi New Horizons was at the Golden Age Home in Lautoka helping maintain a vital part of the home's livelihood.

Club president Josefa Vanuaca said community work was one of the important aspects of rotary clubs across the world.

"Globally, rotary always tries to make a difference in the community, wherever there's a need, we try to fill that gap and as young people, we have the time and the strength to do these kinds of work," Mr Vanuaca said.
