Suva records highest rainfall

Update: 1:15PM THE highest rainfall in a 24-hour period ending this morning was recorded in the Suva area.

From 9am on Friday to 9am today, Laucala Bay recorded 168.5mm of rain followed by Monasavu at 71mm and Ono-i-Lau at 70.6mm.

According to the Nadi Weather Office, Nadi recorded 61mm of rain, Lautoka 50.3mm and Nausori 50mm.

The rainfall figures were released as the weather office issued a heavy rain warning for the whole of Fiji, including a flash-flood warning.
