By AVINESH GOPAL
Saturday, May 17, 2014

Update: 12:44PM THE Fiji Roads Authority is requesting drivers to take extreme caution when travelling in heavy rain and avoid going through flood waters.

As at 11am, the FRA said a bridge at Nairukuruku Rd in Naqali was closed because of flooding and the water level was being monitored.

There has been surface flooding of some roads within the Suva central business district, in Nabua, and Queen Elizabeth Rd, Greg St, Thurston St, Gladstone Rd and Grantham Rd.

However,  these roads are open to traffic but people have been urged to drive with care. The FRA is monitoring the situation on the roads.
