FIJIAN fashion designer Sonam Sapra is honoured about her first international export order for her Intimate Fiji label which was collaborated with Intimate Apparel Fiji.

Ms Sapra confirmed the order went for a total of $8040 from her resort wear collection which will be launched at this month's Fiji Fashion Week on May 29.

"This is in collaboration between me and Mr and Mrs Imbamalar Rajan and Intimate Apparel is basically an umbrella company," Ms Sapra said.

"It's great, just the first step though and the real challenge is making sure this can become a sustainable business — we made the first step in announcing it — now we just have to maintain it.

"It feels really good, but honestly I am not letting it get to me or think about it too much because I was talking to my father and he said just remember this sale is just barely scratching the surface."
