Dawn Gibson
Friday, May 16, 2014

ONE of the major issues with discussing climate change measures with governments is that the positive impacts of energy conservation are not usually seen until after about 50 years.

This was explained yesterday by Dr David Wratt at the launch of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) working group two report at USP's Marine Campus.

Dr Wratt, who is the chief scientist at New Zealand's National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research and a contributing scientist to the IPCC, said this was one of the organisation's biggest challenges.
