Champs to defend title

NADI rugby champion Gaunavou will defend the KKS Challenge Shield against the high-flying Sabeto in the feature club game on Friday.

The BLK-sponsored Gaunavou team has earned $2000 over the past four weeks for successfully defending the title. The side beat Momi, Saunaka, Tovolea and Army.

Nadi rugby spokesman Rusiate Ratakele said Sabeto has been impressive over the past weeks of competition . Sabeto which featured some rugby league players defeated Saunaka 27-15 last week. Meanwhile, the Nadi Rugby Union has introduced a cup challenge for the development of club competition and will be known as the Erenavula Cup.
