Support overwhelms single mother

Mere Naleba
Thursday, May 15, 2014

"BEING a single mother and raising triplets is not easy but I can never be more thankful to my family and relatives for supporting me throughout."

These were the words of first-time mother and mother of triplets Losana Vomani. With the Family Day celebrated internationally today, Ms Vomani says a strong family unit is all she has to raise her daughters.

Family time for the 31-year-old means having to juggle household chores and tending to her daughters.

Being a single mother, Ms Vomani is thankful her family and relatives always help out whenever needed.

Ms Vomani gave birth to the triplets on May 21 last year and says the support from her family, and even church members have been overwhelming.

The triplets Rachel, Jemima and Melina Vomani will celebrate their first birthday next week.

"My siblings, my mother and extended family have been so supportive," she said.
