Insurance policy to assist customers

Update: 1:30PM FijiCare Insurance Limited is in the process of rolling out an integrated patient management and billing system at its claims centre.

This would mean interfacing directly with the insurance claims administration, says non-executive chairman Philipp Thomas.

Speaking at the company's annual general meeting in Suva today, Mr Thomas said the claims centre would handle non-insured business.

"Billings by the claims centre to FijiCare Insurance Limited are done on an arms length basis and designed to remunerate capital employed at the claims centre, that is, to result in a positive profit centre result."

He says FIL would create a clone claims centre in the West if the right opportunity arises.
