JACKS Nadi secured a bonus point 44-12 win over Ovalau in the Skipper Cup competition at Prince Charles Park yesterday.

The Jetsetters best utilised their big forwards to shrug off a spirited Ovalau outfit scoring six tries to Ovalau's two.

Hard hitting number eight Aca Simolo scored a brace of tries after coming back from a sin bin which ignited the Jetsetters.

But it was the visitors that registered the first try through winger Peni Radau in the second minute of the match.

Nadi fullback Cyrill Reece failed to gather a high ball inside his 22m line and it fell into waiting hands of the flying winger Radau to dive over for a wonderful try.

The Ovalau fly half increased his team's tally to seven points from a conversion before Nadi's fly half Kavekini Varo replied with a penalty to register the first point for the host.

Nadi's heavy pack outmuscled the small Ovalau forwards as Simolo dived over for his first try in the 28th minute of play.

Hard hitting lock forward Viliame Ratute increased Nadi's tally to 13 points in the 31st minute of play after bulldozing his way past three defenders to score underneath the crossbar.

Varo made no mistake with the conversion before Simolo scored his second try from a strong 15m scrum drive to leave the scores at 20-7 in favour of Nadi at the stroke of halftime.

Nadi flyer Sunia Vosikata completed a sequence of forward drive to race away untouched scoring the third try for his team.

The visitors also have their moments in the second spell when they bulldozed their way through the heavy Nadi pack to register their second try through hooker Siate Are.
