Chandra plays at home

AIRPORTS Fiji Limited fireman Anuresh Chandra hopes to get back to winning ways when he participates in the inaugural Srixon Cleveland Classic which starts at the Nadi Airport Golf Club today.

Anuresh hasn't played at many events this year. The 34-year-old finished second to Olaf Allen Junior at the Fiji Amateur Stroke Play Championship last month.

His last major win was at the 2013 Vatukoula Open Championship.

He will go into the 36 holes event with the home advantage.

Anuresh said things were looking bright in his bid to get into the national squad for the World Amateur Teams Championship in Japan in September.

"I made a good comeback at the stroke play tournament at Natadola to finish second," he said.
