Fijians in tennis finals

TWO local players will feature in the singles finals of the West Pacific Regional Championship at the Regional Tennis Centre in Nadovu, Lautoka today.

Krishan Raju will face Charlie Benjamin of the Solomon Islands in the boy's under-16 final. Raju defeated Shivneel Chand 6-2, 6-2 in the semi-final yesterday.

Ruby Coffin will play Emma Maucotel of Vanuatu in the girl's U14 final after defeating Vienna Kumar 6-1, 6-1 in her semi-final fixture.

Fiji Tennis Association vice president Naga Reddy said the other players would be fighting for the rankings positions.

The matches will start at 8.30am today.
