Important to focus on employee wellbeing

IT IS important to place emphasis on staff wellbeing and happiness, says Tokatoka Resort's general manager Rohit Kant.

He said since he joined the resort last October, he had sought to place utmost importance on staff wellbeing and happiness.

"Our staff members are one of the biggest assets," Mr Kant said.

"If we want to create a good environment for the guests to stay in, we have to ensure the staff members are happy with what they are doing because they are responsible for the guests.

"This is one of the reasons we don't have a problem in investing in staff training."

Mr Kant said incentives and staff recognition programs had now been added to their work systems.
