World Bank launches report on employment challenges

By ATASA MOCEITUBA
Friday, May 09, 2014

Update: 12:04PM BUSINESS environment reforms are unlikely to address employment challenges in smaller Pacific countries given the constraints to private sector development arising from smallness, dispersal and isolation, says the World Bank.

In its latest report titled Wellbeing from Work in the Pacific Island Countries, the bank said a broad range of policy measures must be considered to eliminate employment challenges.

The report was launched at the University of the South Pacific this morning.
