FORMER Nadi rugby players are planning to host a week-long reunion event in October.

The event will draw former reps who reside in the United States, Europe, New Zealand and Australia.

Former Fiji 7s and Nadi rep Penisoni Waki said a fundraising drive will be held after each Skipper Cup home game.

Waki said all former reps had been invited for the first fundraiser after the Ovalau versus Nadi game at Prince Charles Park tomorrow.

"The money collected will be used to hold the reunion activities in October," he said.

"It will be like a festival. We are getting in touch with the ex-reps residing overseas to spread the word about the reunion."

Some prominent former reps who are expected to attend the reunion are Epeli Turuva, Solo Rasolea, Taniela Nayate, Joe Qoro, Peni Volavola, Lorima Ravouvou, Serupepeli Tuvula, Vuata Narisia, Bruce Naulago, Maika Toga, Iliesa Toga and Pita Bolea, Joe Rokocoko, Joeli Vidiri, Aisea Nama, Aminiasi Naivogo, Orisi Tuidraki, Vereniki Goneva, Samisoni Viriviri Senior and Ilaitia Kurucake.
