Student designer draws inspiration from lilies

NATURE is the best inspiration to draw from.

And for Ting Ting Nong, a Year 9 student of Yat Sen Secondary School, nature was exactly the inspiration she drew from as she planned her collection for the Tuckers Ice Cream Student Designers show of the Fiji Fashion Week.

"My designs are based on calla lilies," she said.

"I love the white and yellow colours and when you put it upside down, it reminds me of the high low dresses that are in fashion at the moment."

The 14-year-old is excited about showcasing her collection on the FJFW runway.

"It is something that I have always wanted to do, to design. Ever since I was in primary school, I always wanted to enter the Fiji Fashion Week."
