Pottery making

MORE children need to learn the basic skill of pottery making and to tap into their creative side in order to make beautiful and artistic pottery pieces, says potter and co-ordinator Amelia Lesumai.

Mrs Lesumai said the skill of pottery making could give any individual a chance to be creative and earn an income.

She said more than 30 children were part of her school holiday pottery workshop this week which was organised by the Fiji Museum.

"These children have a lot of talent and most of these talents are not seen every day at home or at school and parents need to get their children to take part in workshops to help nurture their skills more."
