CHALLENGES faced by Pacific Island countries in terms of forest policy formulation and implementation will be the highlight of talks when forestry heads convene in Nadi next week.

The Seventh Executive Forest Policy Course which will be held over 12 days will focus on policies relating to land management including that of forests.

A statement released by the Secretariat for the Pacific Community's Land Resources Division said land use policies would have to take into account the growing demand for goods and services.
