Update: 4:39PM WORLD Asthma Day was celebrated today emphasising the need to improving care and awareness of the respiratory condition.

Non communicable disease national adviser Dr Isimeli Tukana said there's no cure to asthma but those with asthma and the public can get educated on how well they can control the condition.

Dr Tukana said people needed to look at having a healthy lifestyle in order to address and control asthma attacks from happening.

He says asthma is now becoming a problem for Fiji as reported by the emergency department.
