LTA inspects bus, suspect in custody

Update: 12:21PM A SENIOR vehicle inspector from the Land Transport Authority will be inspecting the Dee Cees' bus alleged to have caused the death of a mother and her child yesterday.

A statement released this morning read,  it is alleged the driver had difficulty in moving the bus when the suspect, who is the bus checker, allegedly decided to move the bus onto Harris Rd in Suva.

Police said as he drove out, he allegedly hit the parked Nasese bus resulting in the accident leading to the death of the mother and her three-year-old daughter.

The suspect is now custody.
