Two still in hospital after minibus accident

Update: 10:41AM TWO of the six passengers in a minibus which was involved in an accident in Varavu, Ba last week remain admitted at the Lautoka Hospital.

The minibus, driven by a 34-year-old man, was returning from a funeral gathering in Suva when it hit the back of a logging truck parked on the side of the road.

Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro says the minibus driver is yet to be charged.

"Investigations are also looking into whether the driver of the logging truck had breached safety regulations under the Land Transport Authority regulations," she said.
