Chaudhry cops $2million fine

Update: 3:26PM FORMER prime minister Mahendra Chaudhry has been fined $2million by High Court judge Justice Paul Madigan.

Chaudhry now has a recorded conviction and is to pay the fine by June 30, this year in default he faces a 15-month imprisonment sentence and if Chaudhry serves the imprisonment sentence, he has been given a 12-month non-parole period.

He was sentenced in the last hour at the Suva High Court.
