Nadi Sangam declared tobacco-free school

Update: 2:37PM NADI Sangam Primary School was declared the first tobacco-free primary school in the country this morning.

Principal education officer Lautoka, Nadi and Yasawa Albert Wise said five primary schools would be declared tobacco-free.

"We are looking at five schools in this district that will ban all tobacco products from their premises," he said.

"This will not only take place in the Western Division but the Ministry of Education will look to declare other primary schools as tobacco-free as well."
