BOLLYWOOD singer and 2012 Sa Re Ga Ma Pa series finalist Shehnaz Akhtar says he is ready to bring the romance of film songs to audiences in the country.

Speaking to this newspaper after arriving at the Nadi International Airport yesterday with comedian Chirag Wadhwani, Akhtar said he was touched by the warmth of the people.

"It's my first time to Fiji and my first reaction is I can't believe how friendly the people are over here," the popular singer said.

"I am looking forward to delivering some romantic Bollywood songs to my Fijian fans."

Funny man Wadhwani said he was also touched by the kindness of the locals.

"Everything I have heard about Fiji is true," he said.

"Your people are the friendliest on earth and I am so honoured and excited to perform for the Fijian people."

The duo are part of the DMG productions TV Stars Night 2014.
