Northerners brace for water cuts

Update: 2:15PM DISRUPTIONS to water supply will be expected in certain parts of Labasa this afternoon.

In a public advisory, the Water Authority of Fiji said about 10 areas will be affected from 3pm to 8pm.

Areas that will be affected include the whole of Basoga area, Vaturekuka government quarters, army camp, Vunivau Cemetery Road, the whole of Bulileka area, Vatunibale government quarters, Vitadra, Lowcost, from Boca to Urata area, and Boubale and Dreketilailai.

The authority attributed the disruption to repair works being carried out on a burst main on the Volanau outlet near the reservoir.
