Court frees accused

A MAN who spent about a year in remand was yesterday freed after the State prosecution filed a nolle prosequi application.

Pita Varikoula was told by the High Court in Suva he was free to go and that he'd been discharged because of insufficient evidence. Mr Varikoula was charged with aggravated robbery along with Sitiveni Tuisamoa, Samuela Beeby, Peni Tuilaselase and Alipate Lesi.
