Friday, April 18, 2014

FOUR suspects remain in police custody while investigations continue into their alleged involvement in the murder of a Nawaicoba, Nadi, man.

Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said two of the six men initially taken in for questioning had been released.

The post-mortem examination of the late Vasu Dewan Naidu, 49, was expected to be conducted late yesterday.

Daughter Manisha Devi, 16, said the family wanted justice for the death of their father who was allegedly assaulted on suspicion that he had practised witchcraft.

Ms Devi said funeral arrangements would be finalised once the post-mortem examination concluded.
